1. The people are friendly and welcoming

One of the best things about Taiwan is the people. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and always willing to help out newcomers. I never felt like an outsider in Taiwan, and I always felt like I was part of the community.

2. The food is delicious and affordable

Taiwan is a food lover's paradise. The food is delicious, affordable, and varied. You can find everything from traditional Taiwanese dishes to international cuisine. I especially loved the night markets, where you can find all sorts of delicious street food.

3. The cost of living is low

Taiwan is a very affordable place to live. The cost of living is much lower than in many other developed countries. You can easily find a decent apartment for a reasonable price, and food and transportation are also very affordable.

4. The healthcare system is excellent

Taiwan has an excellent healthcare system. The quality of care is high, and the costs are very reasonable. I never had any problems getting the medical care I needed, and I always felt like I was in good hands.

5. The public transportation system is efficient and convenient

Taiwan's public transportation system is one of the best in the world. It is efficient, convenient, and affordable. You can easily get around Taiwan by bus, train, or MRT. I never had any problems getting where I needed to go.

6. The weather is pleasant

Taiwan has a subtropical climate, with warm winters and hot summers. The weather is generally pleasant year-round, although it can be a bit humid in the summer. I especially enjoyed the spring and fall, when the weather was perfect for spending time outdoors.

7. The culture is rich and vibrant

Taiwan has a rich and vibrant culture. There are many traditional festivals and events throughout the year. I especially enjoyed the Lantern Festival, which is held every year in February. It is a beautiful festival with colorful lanterns and fireworks. I also enjoyed visiting the many temples and historical sites in Taiwan.

8. The scenery is beautiful

Taiwan is a beautiful country, with a diverse landscape. There are mountains, beaches, forests, and lakes. I especially enjoyed hiking in the mountains and visiting the beaches. The scenery in Taiwan is simply breathtaking.

9. The people are open-minded and tolerant

Taiwan is a very open-minded and tolerant country. People are generally accepting of different cultures and religions. I never felt like I was being judged or discriminated against because of my race, religion, or sexual orientation.

10. I felt at home in Taiwan

After two years of living in Taiwan, I felt like I was truly at home. I had made many friends, I was familiar with the culture, and I felt like I was part of the community. I was sad to leave Taiwan when my time there was up, but I know that I will always have a special place in my heart for this beautiful country.
